The challenge ahead
Mr Grey Menswear first approached Web.com in early 2018 with a desire to better understand the world of Social Marketing and the opportunities Facebook posed for the brand online. Being a brand-new start-up company the business knew it was important to launch a web presence to help get them off to a fantastic start and drive results.
One of the client’s requirements was to run a Facebook competition to increase engagement and interactivity with the brand.
Facebook competitions are a great way for businesses to be creative organically. They often mean that the audience stops and takes notice, and are incentivised to engage with the brand.
From experience, Web.com knew that the key to driving lots of entries and a successful competition is to pick the right prize and make entering fun and easy. Mr Grey Menswear decided to give the lucky winner a three-piece luxury suit, asking the entrants to tell them where they would wear the suit if they won the prize.
Our team of Social Media Experts (trained directly by Facebook) built the customer a new page and managed this through Facebook Business Manager. We used Facebook Advertising to target thousands of local customers based in the Durham area. With the budget, our strategy was based around three main posts; Page Like Ads, Brand Awareness Ads and the Customer Competition, all of which saw fantastic customer engagement.

Looking into the future
Mr Grey Menswear is in the process of getting an eCommerce website built by Web.com to sell their clothing online. When the site is live they plan to tailor their Facebook Advertising to this and start launching traffic-based ads.
